I dunno. All this talk of they want, they want, and it being subtle. I don't see any of the conspiracies, am I obtuse or are you over-checking? What I see are some people under-qualified to lead or run a whelk stall (Boris, Raab?) right out of their depth and peddling hard to please while serving the interests of their allies in commerce. Ditto Trump, If that's a conspiracy fair enough but it's not planned, it's day-to-day and not subtle, not planned, not hidden just bleeding obvious and made up afresh every day for the past year.

I wonder if it matters which of us is right. Planned or incompetent, who cares, it's malign and people are dying needlessly. I've got it right, I never go out and won't until I have to go to hospital and then the conspiracy or the incompetence will do for me.
