Must see doc: Noam Chomsky 'Requiem for the American Dream'

Just watched this on RT...repeated - I think - at 16-30, 18-30 and 23-30...no blurb on my telly as to documentary contents. If you want a reasoned and highly lucid documentary on the state of the US, how it got like it is and by inference how it affects others look no further. I don't think it's widely on YouTube due to copyright, but if you search there for that title 'plus headline news 24th March' there's the original..the other uploads have been dubbed into other languages. Thought provoking is an understatement.

Yes I agree with you. Watched it a couple of years ago. Is 'RT' on freeview?

Is it a cool channel apart from the afore mentioned doc?

Depends who you ask... or more precisely, who is providing the paycheck of the person you ask. The paid shills who endlessly parrot CIA-MI6 talking points will tell you in unison that RT is unreliable Russian propaganda and that you would be better off listening to the BBC and New York Times instead.

I personally don't watch RT that much, but when I do, I find it a refreshing change of pace from the crushing ideological uniformity we find in the Western media. The RT show Crosstalk is particularly good. Another good show is On Contact, hosted by Chris Hedges - an award-winning journalist who got blacklisted once he deviated too much from the "official line".

Between The Lines is also good...about the Britain you never hear about. I don't watch RT as much as I used to, should more. Galloway has had some interesting guests and Salmond's show is popular north of the border, I believe. Good to have a different, non US centric viewpoint, imo.
