So far the only attempts to address your question at the start of this thread have come from the "apologists" on here, and now from Corbyn.

May's only answer is to put the army on the streets because we no longer have enough police officers. But that's merely an attempt to deal with symptoms, it's no attempt at all the deal with the causes.

She and Fallon continue to fall over themselves to supply arms to Saudi Arabia, the country that funds and trains terrorists.

Even you must admit that the current US/UK approach isn't working?

You say the most ridiculous things. Have you not worked it out yet that these terrorists are at war with us. Armies fight wars, not policeman! The brave coppers who are armed are not trained up to army standards, so it is vital we have them on the streets as well. The bobby on the beat cannot deal with this no matter how many we had. Get real man.

Corbyn was a disgrace today. Prime Minister - no chance!

You stop it by talking, not bombing foreign countries. Blair and Cameron have British blood on their hands.

Ideally yes - but in reality?

Exactly.

And actually trained and equipped counter-terrorism officers would be a better bet than squaddies. The Greater Manchester Police warned of exactly this situation happening due to May's cuts back in 2015 when she was home secretary.

But this is still avoiding the issue - police or soldiers, it's a response to symptoms not causes. May is still arming the Saudis, an uncomfortable truth that her supporters seem to refuse to discuss.

By the way, have you actually read Corbyn's speech, or are you reacting to the Daily Mail's reporting of it?

Which bits did you think were disgraceful in particular?

As per usual, the worlds opinion on this tragedy is far more in line with my points of view than with most of the 'contributions' in this thread.
I can live with that.

It seems that the majority of Britons don't agree with you:

Jeeze we're not going down this route again are we? I reply, you counter then end with yet another question. I like an idiot reply and back you come with a further question. You seem to be obsessed with getting everyone to falling in line with your way of thinking.

Let me make this clear for the last time and see of you can resist asking me further questions.

Say what you like, but this election is about Brexit - nothing else! That's why it was called. Policies don't even come into it at this stage, it's ALL about who will do the best job in seeing us through our leaving the EU. In my opinion it will be Theresa May and I don't care a fig who else anyone else prefers. It is MY opinion and that's where it stays.
After that is settled the government can then set about dealing with our home problems which there are many of - and would be no different no matter who holds the reins.
If they fail then we all know what to do next time.

No more questions, it's not like you actually answer them anyway.

I'm very relieved though that Brexit is so all-consumingly important that foreign policy, national security and terrorism are on hold for the next couple of years and we don't need to worry about any of this until then.
