I don't expect anything special as a result, I'm not sure who does.
If they do they may be pissed off, but I doubt they'll carry it somewhere darker.
Something about the expansionism of the EU, the remoteness, the false notion of 'citizenship'.
I do not have a passport, I am not an EU citizen. I have no EU rights.
Should I stop being stupid and get one? What if I can't afford it?
And where to begin with the EU parliament?
A parliament with no opposition?
What is that?
Set up just to do a reverse filibuster, grind any dissent into submission.
Now in the grand scheme of things, how does that really interfere with my life?
Not much maybe, but it's always considered noble to vote with your conscience.
I do believe 17m of us did.
Is that wrong?

A lot of people think that there will be some great new dawn, or why bother? £350m a week for the NHS wasn't it? or maybe no more immigration? Bendy bananas? I think most leavers thought there was an upside, if you didn't why on earth would you vote for something that you don't even think will be positive in any way?

The EU doesn't stop our Parliament doing anything really, and it is elected. Not all systems need to be oppositional. I hate the two party crap we have here.

Anyway, hey, you'll be fine, you're a winner! I'm merely a traitor, an enemy of the people and a saboteur. 16 million of us to target so plenty to go at, oh look the media hasn't stopped doing that since the result came out. Must be nice to be on the same side as Murdoch, Farrage and Banks.

You are on the same side as George Osborne.
And Tony Blair.
Does that fill your heart?
'We' (since it's getting divisive now) have Giles Fraser for one.
I respect him a lot.

I'm not Christian, but I admire him loads.
Doesn't call the Christian Headmaster who beat him a 'sinner' called him a 'bastard'. And he remains a man of God.

Giles Fraser also voted 'out'.

I am sure you can find someone as noble as him wot voted 'remain', but really, we'd be here all night wouldn't we?

You said you weren't an EU citizen, you are. You said you have no EU rights, you do.

I haven't been abroad for over 20 years, it doesn't make me value the relationship we had with Europe any less. Not sure what a passport has to do with anything really.

Actually I agree with Blair over this. Osborne is history and good riddance. May and Murdoch are the ones calling the shots here, that's not my idea of "taking back control".

But I still don't understand why you would vote for something that you personally can see no positive side to. You are prepared to jump off a cliff without even a pay-off. Why would you do that?

Eh, being able to travel abroad, to work and reside in other EU countries.
That which makes up my 'citizenship'.

I did not say 'I see no positives', and I certainly don't foresee negatives.
I also do not see this cliff edge many speak of.
You seem (sorry if I have this wrong) to have voted remain because you felt it was safer and best to keep things as they are.
It always is, right?
I don't get the impression though you foresaw any great advances.
I think I've spelled out my own reasoning for voting as I did.
It's not good enough for you, that's fine.
