Occupy Londoners "terrorists" and denied fundamental rights to a fair trial
Dec 08, 2011, 14:33
Interesting developments at Occupy London this week, first the City of London Police include them on a letter regarding terrorist activity in the city http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/dec/05/occupy-london-police-terrorism-document

...and now the lawyers for the UBS bank that they are now "squatting" (or rather turning into a community centre, art gallery, gig venue and hosting debates and talks) apparently gave them a few minutes notice to get to a hearing without even telling them where it was taking place. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/dec/06/occupy-london-legal-challenge-ubs-squat?newsfeed=true

Meanwhile, Occupy Bath have set up a People's Assembly, an "independent
democratic non-affiliated body for discussion, debate and the formulation of ideas and proposals on local, national and global issues and policies.
Its purpose is to give all people of Bath a stronger democratic voice. It invites poeple of all ages, genders, abilities, races, and religions to come and work together to put democracy into action". The first meeting was quite well attended: http://www.thisisbath.co.uk/50-plus-new-forum-Occupy-Bath-shifts-Queen-Square/story-14045534-detail/story.html
