I can go along with that, its my kind of creationist theory.

She must have been on some good drugs when she thought up the duck billed platypus.

I reckon the creation of the duck billed platypus was the creationist version of having worrying spare parts left over when you've assembled an Ikea flatpack thing and thinking "Well, I'm sure I can use these somewhere"

ha! for the last few evenings I've been helping my boys assembling Warhammer figures. Very often you'll find that you've been given a choice of heads or limbs in order to hold different weapons, or whatever. They tend to get used to make dismembered bit to lie at the feet (on the little stand-thingy base) of rival armies they're also building. My eldest did a great 'orc sinking in quicksand' one with an arm and a head on a spare base he had left over.

Dismembered war figures are an integral part of any growing lads life. Larks a'plenty to be had with lakes of fake blood and limbless plastic/metal soldiers n monsters.

I'm just so relieved that fireworks are more controlled since I was a nipper. We used tp blow up toy soldiers. But preferred cowpats.

my friends and I used to buy plastic model warships, and lace them thru and thru with every explosive and flammable liquid we could get our hands on. Then we'd set it sailing down at the local pond and set it afire.
Kids are funny that way.
