Ardal O'Hanlon: Tomb Raider
Aug 03, 2022, 20:36
Am very glad to have recorded this programme though it is available on iplayer. So interesting, lots old footage of ancient Irish monuments, O'Hanlon tracks back to the archaeology of the 1930s and the work of Adolf Mahr (among others) - I had never heard of him and yes, he did turn out to be a Nazi. It is actually quite rare that we see a programme of this calibre about Irish archaeology.

Among the many sites O'Hanlon visits this must be one of the most impressive (going to have to magic up a trip to Sligo early next year).
