Thank you for this - Alan Garner knows how to tell a tale. There are seven little videos all together, the first three or four about the shovel which was incorrectly dated by both the British Museum and the Ashmolean in Oxford. His telling of the tale naturally takes him into the ancient copper mines of Alderly Edge.

Well full marks to Alan Garner for persevering in his belief that the shovel was prehistoric but the tale was quite long. Thank you Dog in the fog for a glance into the mind of Garner.
