My wife and I help out on Op Nigtingale/Breaking Ground Heritage digs, designed to support ex service men + women.

In 2019 we dug on a site in Aldbourne, Wilts which, (not prehistoric - apologies!), was the site of the camp of Easy Company, 101st Airborne (of Band of Brothers TV show).

We came across crisp and sweet packets which we could date to (from memory) 1970s/1980s.

All part of the story of the site but was especially good to show the school children who came round to demonstrate that these remain in tact after many years - certainly got them thinking.

Although we haven't found similar on other sites I can well believe it's happening.
