1st episode was a little patchy IMO, but definitely worth watching.
Great to have him back - and hopefully this series is just gonna get better and better.

I thought that too, it was almost too alan. There were too many Alanisms, his genius was that he never seemed to be trying, he was just a loveable idiot, I found him to be a bit annoying on the first watch this time though. However watching it a second time I found it a bit funnier, perhaps its a grower. I hated the movie on the first view for similar reasons and enjoyed it much more the second time.
