Did really enjoy Kevin Bishop as Fletch's Grandson in the reboot of Porridge. He was also great as Barry Hearne in the Rack Pack. Off to see what Simon Day is like as Alf Garnett. I can hear people in their millions despairing of remakes, but at least Porridge stood on its own merit.
I thought Simon Day was pretty bad actually. None of Warren Mitchell's tics & twitches, the expressive seething. He just ranted woodenly. The script hadn't been touched, apparently.
