Like Squid not done this for a few weeks as was away on a work trip to Chile.

Deison & Mingle – Tiliaventum. Right up my street this one – an electronic album inspired by the Tagliamento River in NE Italy. It comes in a beautifully packaged box with a wrapped pebble from the river and a booklet with photos. Music’s good as well – (dark) ambient feel but beats appear too.

Byron Westbrook – Body Consonance. I think Westbrook is a sound artist by trade. Interesting electronic album, in particular where all the darting electronics are underpinned by drone.

Yair Elazar Glotman – Compound. Another sound artist I really like. Here he is back on his contrabass but playing in a trio (piano and percussion). Two side long pieces that has a Necks feel (given the instrumentation).

KETEV – Trace of Weakness. Glotman’s post-techno project. Recorded using a Buchla Modular Synth. Love it.

Slow Heart Music – This Body is Not Me. Lovely solo acoustic guitar album.

Elodie – Vieux Silence. Gorgeous, timeless music released on Stephen O’Malley’s Ideologic Organ label.
