"777 Sect's" (2011) - Blut Aus Nord / "Diotima" (2011) - Krallice

The avant garde black metal scene firin' all cyllinders on the current year, for cryin' out loud!

"777 Sect's" is perhaps Blut Aus Nord best record: solemn, majestic, heavy and very, very, very dark. True cthonian black metal, with sprawling soundscapes of sonic despair ans hellish abandon, almost on the same level of the still unmatched Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum (Deathspell Omega).

And about Krallice... well, all you need to know is that Mick Barr and Collin Marston are involve on that inhuman catharsis of technical prowess and sonic warfare.

Well, BAN is really on a roll, 'cause Deus Salutis Meæ and Hallucinogen are also both great records.
