Forgot my own eight. Not easy even if you are allowed albums rather than tracks. A lot of killing two birds with one stone here ..

EDIT forgot Small Hours from "One World" that's going to have to cover folk, dub and ambient for me and so the Radiodread track has to go.

EDIT #2: Forgot Hazey Jane I from "Bryter Layter". That might trump the Spiritualized tune.

Luxury? A piano. Presumably I would have plenty of time to learn how to play it and it could double as a sideboard and wind break!

EDIT forgot the book? - A Wodehouse compendium probably or James Robert Baker's "Boy Wonder" which is an epic and highly comedic and somewhat incorrect Hollywood satire. Something funny and episodic at any rate.
