To be fair the vast majority of people on this board seem to have a "try anything once" approach to music though there are sensibilities that just can't get beyond the idea than metal is music made by the sub-human for the mindless entertainment of fools. There are some minds that just aren't there for the changing. Fair dos.

All I can say is that my life would have been all the poorer had I not pumped a fist with Kiss, been able to stand up and shout with Ronnie James Dio, got deeper and down with Quo or been taken to my knees by Blue Oyster Cult.

Their loss. Just as I imagine my utter disdain for the likes of Happy Mondays and Stone Roses is mine. Probably.
