I am a fan. But not what you'd call hardcore. I mean, I didn't make the effort to go and see him perform in London last winter. Although I am still kicking myself over such a missed opportunity.

One of my recent Kid Calamity Cuts did feature the sublime 'Ecstasy Of Gold' from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

Can anyone point me in the direction to download the soundtracks to films like The Bird With The Crystal Plumage, or The Great Silence?

I have Gli Occhi Freddi Della Paura (AKA Cold Eyes Of Fear) on order,
Its got Gruppo di Improvvisazione Consonanza playing in
their only credited appearence , Crime & Dissonance has
two tracks from this score and the Thriller 2CD set has one.

Although the London 2006 Film Soundtrack gig was delayed by a good few months due to "technical difficulties"..when it eventually happened in Dec..it was amazing. I had tears in my eyes sevearl times during the performance. It was also unusual, in that you had rock audience emotion emerging at a classical concert...although Ennio seemed to be lapping up the adoration.
I could honestly listen to anything he's written..and with 300 (or whatever the tally is) film soundtracks...prioritisation is not easy.

I was at the Barbican a couple of years before when he made his first ever UK performance...it was astonishing...real hair-on-the-back-of-the-neck stuff...I've got a boot if yer interested `.-)

'Twas probably the best "gig" i've ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
