No, ideally, we should ignore them.

That would even be down to the aid workers, who find it all as bleak as the rest of us but unlike most of us have the guts to try to help.
Often they are beheaded for their troubles.
Polio clinics bombed, viewed by some as 'colonial mastery' or something.

He was an Isis foot soldier, there was no ache in his heart that forced him to go what he did, which is being suggested here.
