Avebury Soundscapes
Oct 14, 2017, 23:59
The sequel to my book 'Exploring Avebury: The Essential Guide' is now available!
This time I wanted to explore Avebury's mystical aspect, but instead of writing about it, I've made an album of music.
'Avebury Soundscapes' can be previewed for free, and downloaded for £7 from Bandcamp: https://aveburysoundscapes.bandcamp.com/
I also have a limited number of physical CDs, which will go on sale in several shops around Avebury next week (details to follow.)
The album features overtone singing, theremins, and Proto-Indo-European - a language spoken from 4000 BC. Many of the sounds were binaurally recorded, producing full surround sound for listeners using headphones. (It still sounds great on speakers).

Cheers Goffik!
There's now a video for 'Great Circle' with historic footage of solstices past - Terry, Gordon, The Kings Drums etc.
