TV etc.
Hello! We’ve received masses of emails since Julian’s most recent Address Drudion, asking for more information about The Modern Antiquarian TV programme. As Julian said, it is currently scheduled to be broadcast on BBC2 on June 24th. We think it might be 7.00pm, but that is not yet confirmed. I have not seen it yet, but I did see the programme “treatment”, and know the sites that were filmed. It was quite an intense schedule, condensing 8 years of visiting sites into 12 full-on days. Julian returned home after filming exhausted but elated. I have heard bits of the music for the programme, and it’s very atmospheric. Very exciting, indeed.
We are also receiving a lot of questions about Julian’s autumn tour. The dates are still being finalised, but as soon as they are confirmed, they will appear here first (says Julian’s agent, Mick Griffiths!). Julian will tell you himself what you can expect from the tour in his next Address Drudion. Head Heritage is planning to have two new t‑shirts and a new CD available to coincide with the tour, and more details of those items will be announced here on this site well before the tour begins.
We’ve added a new section: “Album of the Month”, which you can access from Unsung. Each month, Julian will write a review of a favourite album, which you will be able to hear through WSYM.
Finally, a reminder that all questions for Julian’s Q&A need to be submitted by 15th June.
