End Of Millennium, 1999CE
Hello, everyone. Our website is under major reconstruction, thanks to Webmaster Chris, but these pages will remain until we unveil the all-new Head Heritage site early in the new millennium. We have seriously major and exciting plans: I don’t want to give away too much now, but we’re working hard to make it one of the best sites out there. Julian has been very involved, and has come up with a lot of great ideas. I would like to say thank you to everyone that has emailed or written with helpful ideas, constructive criticism and good vibes. We are all really excited about this, and hope that it will be a great success.
Julian’s book, Head-On/Repossessed, has received across-the-board rave reviews. He thoroughly enjoyed his October book tour — and I know a lot of you enjoyed seeing his “new look”. Does anyone out there have any photos from the tour? If so, might you be willing to send us a print at Head Heritage?
Our current Kakalog (4) has been very successful — in fact, we are absolutely up to our necks trying to fill all the orders for Christmas. 16 December is our cut-off date for orders needed by Christmas within the U.K. For orders outside the U.K., although we’ll be posting up to 21 December, it is unlikely you’ll receive airmail parcels before Christmas if you order after 15 December.
On a similar note, I should like to take this opportunity to explain something that one of our customers from Japan has brought to my attention. If you live overseas, we have no choice but to send copies of The Modern Antiquarian by surface post. This information is not in the P&P notes of our Kakalogs. For such a heavy book, airmail would be prohibitively expensive and, to our understanding, most customers have received their surface parcels within two weeks.
We’ve had a very positive reaction to Odin, except for a few emails suggesting that “not much happens”. We tried to make it very clear in the Kakalog 4 description that this is an ambient, meditative piece. If that’s not your thing, than obviously this is not for you! But, for those that like ambient music, we are hearing that this is their favourite yet from Julian.
Please note that all the mugs are long gone — they went within 2 weeks of Kakalog 4’s publication. We are also now sold out of Paranormal CDs, Audience with the Cope T‑shirt, and East Easy Rider T‑shirt. These items have all been removed from the Merchandiser. The Modern Antiquarian promo cd is going fast and will certainly not be available for much longer.
There have been several questions about Brain Donor… I’m sure Julian will share more information about this when he is ready but, for the time being, there are no confirmed gigs. Also, several folks have been in touch because of a cryptic rumour they read somewhere, implying that Julian was to be a guest DJ at a Krautrock evening in London later this month. This is most definitely NOT true. I promise.
Finally, I would like to wish everyone a lovely Yule. ‘Tis the season to get mushy, so I’d like you all to know that it has been such a great pleasure to do this job and communicate with so many special people. May the New Millennium bring you and yours peace and happiness, and let us all wish the same for our dear Mother Earth.
Blessed Be,
JoAnne Wilder
