"A spy in the House of Love". Featuring, ooh Lordy, Terry Bickers on guitar, this is ur quintessential introverted indy band. "When I get there I'll be ready, with a map and a pen, duty is a creed. There are lessons for the lonely, when I'm drunk in a room.... There are lessons in the blood, the cold English blood." Picking up where the, ahem, Smiths might have left off Chadwick and Co. provide full on guitar pop, I'm afraid that means songs under five minutes, usually. Search it out within yourself (ie slip in side this house) with tracks like "love in a car", "hope" and "sulphur". Fueled by almost too much LSD etc etc this really doesn't go anywhere near Oasis but is of the ilk and generation of My Bloody Valentine et al. Bardic, gnostic pop pop music.
