Y'know Lars, the guitarist in my band, always liked Wilco but of course everybody knows I've never liked Americana although Wilco were obviously more of a rock band. Maybe I should just buy one of their albums and see for myself, I dunno.
Anyways this is gonna be off-topic but Lars Feldman, other than being in my band, is my sometimes sidekick (well a bit more than that!) on my radio show, and we did an episode last night doing our tribute to Danny Kirwan and Anthony Bourdain. And we just got an idea for a song that might be my first proper song (well co-written...) Because we were talking about the band Loverboy (whom Lars never liked) but I mentioned getting turned on by the singer's red leather pants on the Get Lucky album so I've just started to put lyrics together in an early Roxy Music style. We'll see how it goes... Lars already had an old song about debauched porn star John Holmes entitled "Weapon of Love" (you can actually find it on Youtube under the band name Exercycle) we'd been jamming out...
