I've got Pascal Bussey's CAN book...quite a good read, actually. It's an excellent overview/reference piece, but I have to admit that it falls a bit short on explaining why Can has continued to remain the musical touchstone that it is. But then, that's not so simple to put into words anyway, so I can't fault the author there.
