Taken to see this fillum in the early 80's. Blew my socks. They are still blown. https://youtu.be/i4MXPIpj5sA Rumble through the parts or buy the DVD. You can get it for between 5 and 10 pounds. The influence this man has had is VAST. But it has been so subtle that most don't even notice. That fact is somehow fitting in ways that are so magnificent that nothing about it disappoints.

Philip Glass. That was definitely a good movie. However don't forget Glass' predecessor Steve Reich, who pretty much started the whole Minimalism scene with his phasing tape loop series. Much of his work also manages to have a great Eastern-drone thing that creeps up on you. As good as Glass or even Terry Riley is, they kind of lack that same Eastern edge that Reich gives his material. Glass and Reich were friends also so their work does complement each other in a way...
