OK again only two, well three... Just played Allen Ravenstine's Terminal Drive, solo electronic piece on one-sided vinyl. And in my car two things including some live Lou Reed from the tour supporting Transformer, but mostly the CD compilation Chains and Black Exhaust which I haven't played in quite awhile. Dug it out so that I could play the Curtis Knight and Zeus track on my radio show as a tribute to "Fast Eddie" Clarke (of course!) but it wound up on my car's CD deck since Wednesday. Just great funk.

The Chameleons - Acoustic Sessions, What does anything Mean Basically? Coldcut - Let us Play, People Hold on (best of) The Cult - For Rockers ravers Lovers and sinners Billy Cobham - The Funky Thide of Sings, Spectrum. I preferred the former this time Crazy Horse - Crazy Moon, S/T Julian H Cope. Had a massive hangover for the whole of yesterday so lay in bed and got through quite a lot of his stuff after listening to Floored Genius 1 and 3 in the week Black Sheep. There's some point in his career (I'm thinking about 15 years ago?) When Cope went from unhinged visionary to perfectly sane and not so visionary. Didn't really enjoy this - certainly not in comparison to his earlier stuff Black Orgasm. He definitely had a great band with him on this record Rome wasn't burned in a day. Bloody great album and probably marking the transition in Cope a bit like Eno's Before and After Science. I could be talking out of my hat of course - there is always that possibility. 20 mothers - still sounding delightfully unhinged Autogeddon. Really dug this for the first time. I do wonder what my brain has been up to, to not get it until now! Jehovahkill - It never really occurred to me until today that it was probably a play on the word overkill. It's the classic cope album isn't it?

Why Be Blue – Suicide The re-issued, re-mixed version which really is a different sounding record to the original. Less poppy, more...I dunno...spacey sounding? They Were Wrong, So We Drowned – Liars TFCF - Liars "Fly, fly, the devil's in your eye, shoot shoot (We're doomed, we're doomed)” Blimey. I'd not heard this in ages and had forgotten just how brilliant We Fenced Other Gardens With the Bones of Our Own is. And what a fab title!! TCFC was one of my fave LP's last year. Also... Safe As Milk – Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band Atomic: The Very Best of... - Blondie The Next Day – David Bowie New Energy - Four Tet S/T - Fujiya & Miyagi The Hi Singles A's & B's – Al Green Skying – The Horrors Dust My Broom – Elmore James American Dream - LCD Soundsystem The Correct Use Of Soap – Magazine Ten Rapid - Mogwai Serra (Distant Sun Remix) – Mugstar Bilingual – Pet Shop Boys A Moon Shaped Pool – Radiohead 2016 Atomized - The Raveonettes Blue & Lonesome – Rolling Stones Stranded – Roxy Music Ten Silver Drops – Silver Machines Dear Science – TV On The Radio Modern Kosmology – Jane Weaver White Blood Cells – White Stripes
