Totally free as in free to DL as MP3/WAV file, free CD Master copy DL, Free LP master copy DL, it even states you can make money off of it if you feel the need. Apparently a comment on artist royalties, spotify/soundlcloud etc...

I read it was a protest against the percieved devalution of music, as seen by the band, by music streaming services and the like, and peeps expecting something fer free these days. Plus I think they promised to release a number of albums (5 i think it was) for 2017, maybe this was just their way of fulfilling part of that promise, and having a say about how music is viewed in our time.

It's a great release....#4 of 5 promised releases this year...totally unlike the last few, with a strong return to groovy mellow psych...THANKS to them for this freebie...such a great band.
similar note, check out OCS - Memory of a cut off head.
Thee Oh Sees w/ another name change...and its very very mellow psych....love it!

Got a couple of Thee Oh Sees albums, another bunch who are pretty prolific in terms of output. I'd heard/read about the OCS stuff but yet to check it out, so cheers fer the heads up :)

Floating Coffin is my fav by them, and ORC is pretty good too.
one day I'll make a playlist of their best....hard to keep up w/ these guys.
also...another note, check out TOY....I really like them...1st was their best, kinda krauty

I gotta be honest, TOY passed me by, heard a few tracks I liked, but the album (think it was the first one, self titld, 2012 or so?) left me a bit meh!.
Mind you I may have been in deep Psych overload mode at that time, may go back and give it another spin just to be sure. I'm deep into the improv of Black Moon Circle this week, mate sent me a coupla files and they've been on heavy repeat. Kinda remind me of a spaced out Acid King, which is a gooooood thang as far as I'm concerned. 'Barnard's Loop' is da bomb!!!!
