Right now: Joy Division Unknown Pleasures. As I have been listening to the Clash Sandinista which seems to be a companion album. (You just have to listen to tracks like the Call Up to get the point...)

And I just listened to an old cassette of Van Dyke Parks' Song Cycle (thanks Larry Feldman for that!) I've heard alot about this person who never made it as huge as he should've. Sure it's very very non-commercial but it's beautiful... Just after I found a rare track by Parks on the radio station database where I do my show actually... I played Parks' version of this that the Pogues of course did a version of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXg_MpnenFY

Tony Conrad Ten Years Alive on the Infinite Plain -- glad I got this. Was sad he passed away as he was someone I've known and seen at least 5 times...

Martin Rev s/t

That's about it now.

Oh forgot, bought something on the Minoy Bandcamp page: https://minoy.bandcamp.com/ Think the guy passed away which is sad but he left a legacy of obscure and arcane noise-ambient pieces...

The Chameleons live in Toronto 87 and Berlin 83

The Cure @ Glastonbury 95

Jambinai - A Hermitage. Blummin marvellous south korean post rock - my latest discovery in fact.

Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention - Freak Out

Flowers Must Die - Montana/Nusrat EP. Quite partial to these two tracks of psych.

Faust - Ravvivando

Dif Juz - Extractions. As recommended by fatalist and sweetcheat. Yeah not bad at all

David Axelrod - Songs of Innocence. William Blake project from the 60's though it could be about anything really!

At the Drive in's 20 odd minutes from Reading on the iplayer. Great rock and roll energy from the frontman

Goldray - Rising. New, female fronted, psyche tinged rock band from the guitarist from Reef. I like!

Pariah - Mirage. Groovy stoner riffage from Switzerland

Steven Wilson - Hand Cannot Erase
Warmen - Japanese Holiday
Jethro Tull - A Passion Play
Prince - 2010/NEWS

This Other Kingdom - Reveur. Nice fuzzy psyche from Dublin. Hints of the Doors and Cope here.

Beth Hart - Bang Bang Boom Boom

Nubyian Twist - ST. This is really good -Superb Afrobeat, soul, jazz collective made all the sweeter by finding it as a serendipitous sniff for 50p in a cd rummage box.

Omar Rodriguez Lopes - Old Money

Jay Tausig - Reflections Quiet Splendor. Nice gliss laced ambi-sploog from a bloke that has a ridiculous amount of this stuff on bandcamp.

Have a nice week! x

I love Chameleons live stuff, the way they add in bits of other people's songs always makes me smile.

Glad you like Dif Juz, they seem to have been forgotten along the way rather.
