Earthquake s/t -- Found at a garage sale, cover blurb mentioned the Kinks and Yardbirds but sounds more closer to Grand Funk Railroad. Nothing spectacular, just a little bit more above-average 70s rock... Biff Bang Pow Songs for the Sad Eyed Girl Trepaneringsritualen Deathward to the Womb -- dug this out after seeing this one-man industrial act duke it out in a rare show at a Buffalo dive, opening for Black Metal band Bolzer. He came onstage looking like something from Mad Max II the Road Warrior. Blackened electro-industrial, not too dancy... Aume Agere Urendum Mentis Epode -- Similar to the above Slogun/Fire in the Head Years Closer to Nothing Stockhausen Prozession -- Of course the proper original on vinyl. The Clash Sandinista Mark Stewart s/t Lille Roger Golden Shower CD Whitehouse Erector Schloss Tegal the Grand Guignol

Back from the Sea Change festival where the highlights for me were: Teleplasmiste - Orb like soundscapes and samplery Wovoka Gentle - reminded me of Roxy Music in places Will Stratton - solid singer songwriter Michael Chapman - We all know about him don't we? Masayoshi Fujita - Vibraphone player extraordinaire Jambanai - Post Rock South Korean band Seahawks - Similarly Orb like Ill - All female upstarts Trembling Bells - Old fashioned Folk Rock Band Julie Byrne - meditative songwriter textures Ryley Walker - Quite a catch with full band. If I had to pick out a fav it would be Jambanai whose CD A Hermitage I have been listening to all day. Arbouretum @ Miss Peapods 2009 Bleech @ The New Inn, Tywardreath 2014 Elsewhere: Duke Spirit - Cuts across the land. Bit late to the party with this lot. Checked them out after hearing their vocalist in the latest Unkle project. The voice really lifts it above the so so too Earthling Society - England have my bones Gold Panda - Good luck and do your best

thesweetcheat wrote: Dif Juz - Soundpool Ah, have also been listening to bits of pieces of DJ, as I have it in my head that they basically anticipated loads of post-rock groups such as Bark Psychosis by about ten years.
