Kate Bush - Before The Dawn
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
Kaleidoscope - Tangerine Dream
Slade - Slayed
Santana - Lotus

Greenslade - Spyglass Guest
Absolutely loving this. On the other albums I've found the vocals a bit difficult. Not so much on this album. Progtastic.

Vinyl:

Devadip Carlos Santana - Silver Dreams - Golden Reality
Stuck to the turntable since I nabbed this from the market in Tavistock while we were in away in Dartmoor. Such an amazing variety of sounds (including one cheesy one!), some great fuzz guitar too.

Pink Floyd - Animals

Hawkeyes/Radiation Flowers split
Marvelous Cardinal Fuzz release. I especially like the Hawkeyes side.

White Hills - Stop Mute Defeat
Under-rated.

I think it's a bit of a grower. Didn't grab me at first in the same way as many of their previous releases, but I really like it after a few listens.

United Kingdoms is a great album. I've not listened to it in years as I have it on cassette, but no longer the means to play it. Must get a digital copy. Never got round to getting any of their other albums. Really should investigate those as well.

Visited Kompakt's record store in Cologne during the week, when there on holiday, to purchase some cutting edge, uber cool electronica/beats... so first up a producer/DJ called Overlook who hails from... Bournemouth!

Overlook - Smoke Signals. Drum n bass triple vinyl partly inspired by Carpenter soundtracks so pretty moody and atmospheric. Really enjoying it.

SNTS - Across another dimension EP. A Horo release - I think this is actual German techno, at least the label is Berlin based. Again atmospheric stuff.

Island People - s/t. I thought I'd give this double LP a listen on the shop decks because it has a gorgeous abstract photo cover. And then the Kompakt guy confirmed the record label was one that focuses on abstract electronica. Turns out it's 4 musicians from Berlin and Glasgow who sent sounds back and forth over the last few years to create this album. Includes electronics, field recordings and guitars... and is rather gorgeous.

Other stuff -

So I was travelling round Germany by train so it had to be various Cluster/Harmonia/Neu! tracks to soundtrack the journey.
That, plus the two Horo albums by Ancestral Voices and Pact Infernal that I got a month ago.

Poemme - Soft Ice. Blissful drone.

Gnod - Just say no... and the Temple of BBV collaboration.

I love that Devadip album too. The solo LPs Santana did in that late 70s phase were much purer and creative than the AOR stuff he was bringing out with his official band. I'm even fonder of 'The Swing of Delight' which was one of my favourite tapes to drive to back in the day. I associate those vibes with the A1 in Yorkshire at night...as I do 'Arc of a Diver', but that's another story.
