Faust-Gnod review

John Doran has written a review of the Milhoes de Festa Festival which features the Faust/Gnod collaboration. Also Pigs x 7, Sly and the Family Drone etc amongst others. He also manages to get Master Musicians of Bukkake in to the piece!

Great read, thanks riverman. Goodness I wish I'd seen Gnod/Faust.

I was very tempted to go for the start of my hols (finishing at Supernormal!), but I was at a conference in Berlin the beginning of the week leading up to it. In the end I decided on the more environmentally friendly option of travelling to a few German cities by train.

As a change of topic, I enjoyed my visit to the Kompakt record store in Cologne yesterday. Got a guided tour round the different sections. Then, after pointing out a few recent records I'd got and enjoyed, a steady stream of dark and heavy electronic lps and eps were brought out for me to listen to on one of the 10 turntables they have. Chose a few to buy and got a tote bag and 7" thrown in for free. Wunderbar!

Alas, it's the Eurostar back to London for me today.
