His 'Messe Pour Le Temps Present' and 'Green Queen' fried my teenage brain after a lucky charity shop find. Later on I discovered his brilliant/awful collaboration/collision with Spooky Tooth, 'Ceremony' - still something of a benchmark in w-t-f out-thereness. He was massively influential on the whole artrock/RIO scene too.
