A Broken Frame - Marsheaux I grew up with Depeche... just down the road from Basildon... but these girls know how to handle sequencers and drum machines.

Six Organs of Admittance - Burning the Threshold. New album released tomorrow but got a copy at the album release gig at St Pancras Old Church last night. Chasny on good form - solo acoustic gig in an intimate, dimly lit church. Played over half the new album to start then a selection of tracks from most of his previous albums. The new album is gorgeous... life affirming in these dark times...

Nikki Sudden 'The Truth Doesn't Matter' - absolutely lovely unintended swansong with a gloriously ramshackle, late-Faces feel and sound to it. And if anyone else can write a finer song of years-gone-by reflection than 'Green Shield Stamps', I'm a mushroom. The man deserves some serious reappraisal.

Free dgmlive downloads of selections from recent King Crimson gigs. Some are better listening than others - currently grooving to a particularly good version of 'Easy Money' from Rome. Next up, some King Tubby I think, to continue the 'regal' theme.

Are you saying that you're not a fun guy to be around? (Sorry).
