I remember when Nicky Horne started playing Snowflakes on his show. I wouldn't have known Debussy from Del Bromham in 1974/75 but with those amazing melodies it was incredibly haunting music compared with the other instrumental music he played on his show. I can only really compare it to the Wendy / Walter Carlos stuff but it actually went much further out than that. Not sure why I never got around to getting a copy at the time. Too many other things I wanted to own probably and it was full-on strange to 13 year old years.

Sad. My dad had a few of his albums back in the day. Fond memories of 'em

Sad News, RIP.
The first 'METAL' cassette I ever got given by a crazy old biker I worked with was Tomita 'Firebird'. His version of Mussorgsky's 'Night On A Bare Mountain' still sounds crazy.
Mind you, at the same time he gave me a copy of Wire's 'Pink Flag', I'll let you decide which one sparked a lifelong love.
