I love love love the 12" of Going Back To My Roots with that fantastic extended b side. Ajomara Suite was it? Records like that did a lot more for me in 1981 than most sticky floor venue guitar bands. Did you ever hear Ralph Macdonald's The Path from 78? Similar idea but tracing the history of Black American music from Africa to Funk in a single suite over the whole of one side of an ep. Prog Soul!

Might be time for an early 80s disco thread.


Haha that Ralph MacDonald ep does sound awesome. I do sometimes wonder what I'm doing on a Julian Cope forum.
