You've got eight or nine of my favourite artists there. Would love to hear what a Girls at Our Best fan thinks of Dadawah, or a Josef K fan thinks of Pearls Before Swine. Will definitely have fun scrolling through it in the morning! Thanks for the link.

All the artists you mention are great. This was the whole point of Unsung originally, right? Pointing people in the direction of records they may not have heard but may love if they get the chance to hear. It might be the only way those of us not directly in making or releasing music can feel that we are "contributing". I always love reading fans views on records they love but I've not heard. Thanks to JC for writing about Armand Schaubroeck. This book "Lost In The Grooves" from 2004 (which compiled reviews from various writers) led me to the music of underground Columbus, Ohio legend Jim Shepard. I'll never be able to repay them for that.

And, in that spirit, could I mention two groups who I love, but have not seen mentioned around these parts?

Outta Brisbane, Aus. Desperate, raw, real, in short, sharp, punky, tuneful blasts.

Columbus, Ohio based. Roots in 84 Nash and Times New Viking. Fans of primo Guided By Voices should dig.
