Very sad news. I only knew him through his music, but enjoyed his company immensely. Will spin Heathen Frontiers in Sound tonight.

I was shocked when I read the news and and I'm still shocked. I'm very saddened by the news because with his passing goes another entire world, and one that passed entirely too soon.

HI DEN wrote: Wow. That is almost too saddening to hear... His music and vibe resonated with me deeply (and continues doing so!). RIP Brother Motherfucker And THANKS! np: "I Never Write Slow Love Songs" Here here - it's playing in the background now. An achingly beautiful track, lovely guitar playing and intimate whispered vocals. Met him at a Black Sheep gig in Bristol and he seemed a lovely guy - we chatted about Newcastle and Northumberland where we were both from. I love Cunnyan Crags, the music and lyrics, many of the places mean a lot to me (oddly enough thinking about it, even in my work - I've just written a research paper which is centred on the Milfield Plain and the Till river, both mentioned). Peace and love Christophe.

He was pretty good on the guitar, fond of a widdly solo and one-note freak out. He wasn't a bad singer either. He was a pretty decent poet too. He could knock out an impressive Klaus Dinger drum beat from time to time. Nobody could get a better sound out of one mic, three drums, a guitar fx pedal, a bottle of whisky and a cassette four track. But for me what he excelled at was being a friend. I will forever cherish the 20 years I spent with him .... including these last few days. Robin (boy fried - Universal Panzies) x
