Matt Berry - Music For Insomniacs
Still loving these two draw out ambient beauties. Part Tubular Bells, Part Orb, Part Krafywerk, Part Matt Berry. Really is a surprising release by MB if your only familiar with his jazz funk/folkier sides.
1+2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNiYOcA6xpY

Kawabata Makoto - Inui 4
Probably my fav on the 'Inui' series, Ryo has seriously mellow vibes throughout ala Tangs, ARP, Matthew David etc... great for drifting and letting your head stretch out.

Cabaret Voltaire - Mix Up
The older I get, the more I've come to realise how strange these early Cab's records are. They really sound like nothing around these days. Their use of unsettling sounds induce a feeling of claustropobia, and all that reverb and delay and distortion can cause real unease. These 'tunes' could be the musings of a alien paranoid zombie. What was in the water of Sheffield at this time? So many cool bands almost (Clock DVA, Human League, Hula to name a few) all 'of a mind'. It was a grand Government experiment in cold war terror I tell you! Still love em' though.

LA Hell Gang - Thru Me Again
Mate sent me a DL of this from his vinyl, didn't listen to it for ages, forgot who he said it was and by the time I did pick it out, was conviced It was gonna be a hip hop album (not my fav music it has to be said).
But.... stone me, this is a great record. No different in sound/vibes to early BRMC, Black Angles, The Warlocks or The Darkside (remember them?), but well executed and highly listenable. Superb Stuff, Recommended!

The Heads - Vertigo Swill
Another DL from a me mate (as I could never afford to buy it http://www.discogs.com/Heads-Vertigo-Swill/release/3231643 ).
Collection of oddities/out-takes from 1994-2002. Listened to it several times this week. For me, bit hit and miss this one from the old 'Heads'. Depending on mood, I can be really into it, or just not give a shit.

Chrome - Feel It Like A Scietist.
First record in 12 years, and what a stormer! Not bought it yet, found an old stream online, but deffo on the 'to get' list.

Gulp - I Want To Dance/Season Sun
Great 'new' band from one time SFA bassman Guto Pryce and partner Lindsey Leven. Saw these support Phantom Band the other week and was pleasantly surprised by their sunshine psyche pop. Not too disimilar to stuff like Soundcarriers, Broadcast, Cate Le Bon, SFA and Stereolab et al, but some nice hooks and melodies in the tunes. Being a big SFA nerd, had a nice chat to them at the gig, really nice peeps. Really come to love tha album too.

Punk 45 compilation Vol:3 Sick On You - Various
Some great unkown to me bands/songs on these comp's alongside many of the usual suspects. Nice mix up, like a punkier cousin to the 'Deutsche electronische Musisck' comps on Soul Jazz.

I Dream Of Wires (Hardcore Edition) DVD (borrowed from Lovefilm/Amazon Prime Home rental or whatever it is now?)
If you luuuurve Modular Synthesis (And I do, but could NEVER afford or really justify owning one) this is for you. Synth Porn to the max. 240 minutes of analogue sweeps, bloops, and growls with some interesting histories and interviews with various progenators. Mostly from a US perspective, but you do get Daniel Miller, Vince Clarke and Chris Carter in the mix too.
Bits and bobs to view here...
