Coxon is a huge Barrett devotee. He may not sound like Syd, most of the time, but you do get the impression that he was a huge influence on him, which obviously made Blur who they were. Simple songs with occasionally complex or sometimes facile lyrics. And who are you to say? And what has Alex Turner ever done badly to you? Apart from being more astute and possibley more literate? The first Arctic Monkeys record is a work of genius (some borrowed fom JCC), but why the neg? Grow up?
