Anyone been there? Fully understandable comment by MP bassplayer Bent Saether on MP Website: http://motorpsycho.no/2014/05/the-jazz-cafe-london/ England has been mostly ignoring that overwhelming example of futuristic neo-retro-psychedelic-fiction-handmade rock'n'roll for ages - among other things. That's it for sporting a semiroyal & celeb audience frontline at Glasto & caring shit for the rest of the world. Sorry, I'm still a bit under the influence of last week's EU election joke. Don't worry - the French are even more stupid obviously.

I saw a nice jazzy singer called Carmel there, once - many moons ago, when I lived near by. A nice venue. They always have an interesting programme.

Great gig as always. I can't help but think with a bit more effort they'd be a lot more popular over here though Playing just one UK gig in London every tour is a bit of a pain in the arse. Especially when it felt like over half the crowd weren't even from London

Fantastic gig, some real mind-melting moments. For heavy, trippy out-rock, they certainly take some beating, which is why it's kind of perplexing that they're not more popular over here. On saying that, i think they could do with a concerted PR push next time round, and yes, commit to playing a few more cities if they want to make any serious headway in the UK market.
