Ela Stiles- S/T. Only seventeen minutes long, but classed as an album, this is acapella vocals shading into looped drones and is absolutely mesmerising stuff.

Daniel Carlson- Me You You Me. prog-pop that goes very Pink Floyd in places.

Sleepy People- Floating. Again, psychedelic pop, worth a listen.

The Proper Ornaments- Wooden Head. More psychedelic pop, this one more knowingly retro- song titles include 'Magazine' and 'Stereolab.' It is still highly enjoyable.

Monkey Puzzle Trio- The Pattern Familiar. Excellent new collective featuring Charles Hayward (This Heat etc) and the stunning vocals of Viv Cunningham, somewhere between Polly Harvey, Dagmar Krause and a less intense Diamanda Galas.

Black Bananas- Electric Brick Wall. Jennifer Herrema comes up trumps again with a more electro-disco take on that Royal Trux boogie.

The Vacant Lots- Departure. More blatant JAMC / Spacemen 3 worship on the Sonic Cathedral label. An element of spoken word / beat poetry keeps it interesting.

Moebius Story Leidecker- Snow Ghostpieces. One of the more engaging Dieter Moebius projects of recent years.

Hallock Hill- Kosloff Mansion

Linda Perhacs- The Soul of All Natural Things

Alexander Tucker- S/T

Big Brother and the Holding Company- S/T

Lonnie Donegan- Puttin' On The Style

And a bit of a '90s week-

Blur- Parklife
Hole- Celebrity Skin
Massive Attack- Protection
New Order- Republic
Boredoms- Chocolate Synthesiser
Richard Thompson- Mock Tudor
The Moles- Flashbacks and Dream Sequences
