Wouldn't it be cheaper, sound better, (and also be much more flexible and powerful) to use a PC and virtual synths/samplers like Kontakt3 or somesuch and a dumb midi control keyboard ?

Sorry, I really don't get why people buy this kind of vintage gear at all, analog equipment I can understand (just, because now even that makes very little sense with all the accurate analog modelling software out there), but old digital kit I don't get at all.
