Popol Vuh - Aguirre Review
Jul 04, 2012, 09:57
Hey Seth Man!

""Aguirre I". It's less a two-degrees-of-separation-Herzog-related game of 'what if' and more just the ultimate stillness, the timelessness of this simple yet majestic piece that always moved, convinced me, made me believe and then made me sob uncontrollably..."

Yeah... I've always considered "Aguirre I & II" as one of THE moving and beautiful pieces of music i've heard, even up to the point that it ofen hurts to listen to it/them. But it's also always a life affirming experience.. Man that choir organ sounds heavenly (especially on Fricke's hands, not to mention the Moog. Exceptional, shame that he gave it away...).

Great Write-Up!

P.S: Davie Allan & TG... Hmmm. Uh huh, uh huh...
