We all love the first Kraftwerk records (Kraftwer, Kraftwerk 2 and Ralf und Florian), of course! But I do love all the others. It's hard to choose just one as the best: Today I'll go for The Man-Machine * When the superb Kratwerk box came out a couple of years ago some news mentioned that another box with the ones missing would be released soon. Any news about it?

It has to be Radioactivity for me. Right from the Geiger Counter intro I think its great. I think it possibly also appeals to my techy background in physics and electronics. Might be contraversial, but I do also quite like The Mix as well.

All of them, except for "Electric Cafe" (which is merely OK) and "Minimum Maximum" (for which you really need to buy the DVD, as the audio on its own isn't that interesting). And unlike some purists, I quite like "The Mix" as well.

Back in the day I had a German Import LP "Radio-Activitat" complete with a sheet of Stickers which I foolishly plastered over my bedroom door and school books etc. I remember when I got the LP home from the shop and my father spotted it. My Dad tried it first on his Garrard turnatable and when the first track started - he turned to me with a puzzled look - you got a faulty record here son. I pointed out the track listing "Geiger Counter" - ah right that's what it is then! I still love the last track "Ohm sweet Ohm" aside from the corny pun in the title (those crazy Krauts) - I find the music really beautiful. Would have made a superb film soundtrack piece in extended form.
