Two of the extras are worth having (May You Never and Spencer The Rover) but there are better performances of those two elsewhere. Anyway I recommend you listen to it as his muse originally intended as his original edit was bang-on. What was the original track list? For some reason I never got as far as that album back in the day, despite being a complete fanboy at the time. Outside In (18.56 version) Solid Air Make No Mistake Bless The Weather The Man In The Station I'd Rather Be The Devil (8.58 version) I can't remember if the versions that were originally released of the first and last tracks are part of the deluxe edition but if not drop me an e mail and I will send it to you. Some of the improvs on this record and (ironically) the music he played with Koss on the Back Street Crawler album are out there / up there with some of the best late 60s and early 70s Miles records for sheer spook value and a willingness to take traditional forms to the extremes without going totally outside. It's folk Squid .... but not as we know it Smashing, thanks Ian. Sounds like I need to hear the Back Street Crawler album. What irks me is I had the most fantastic JM bootleg that we recorded when we had him play at the Old Theatre in the LSE when I was social sec there. Recorded in stereo with mics at either end of the balcony, as he did the most SUBLIME performance, including a 10 min shaggy dog story joke. For years the tape of that was my most treasured possesion, then someone knicked it. I've never managed to find anyone else with a copy.

I saw him from the balcony of the Collegiate Theatre (now the Bloomsbury) and watching him play a solo set for OGWT circa One World. I wish someone would release a soundboard of that one as it was absolutely fantastic. Unless I am gilding the memory I am sure he played a fair bit more than what was actually broadcast and the five pieces later released on DVD. So if you know anyone with a recording I am all ears .... ps there's an e mail heading to your ndirect addy later today

Hail! Orphaned Land - The Never-Ending Way of ORwarriOR. Truly epic boundary crossing (prog/folk) metal from Israel. Huge of scope and noble of intent. Very delicious. Yum! Black Moth - The Killing Jar. Really lovin' this Leeds based, female fronted stoner/doom/sludge riff-machine with punkish tinges. Great stuff. (And a top sniff at 50p!) Dibukkim - Az a Foygl un Goylem Tantsn. Snorkel - Glass Darkly Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet? Chrome Hoof - Pre-Emptive False Rapture Orbital - Wonky High On Fire - Snakes for the Divine Nucleus Torn - Nihilist Captain Beyond - S/T Comus - First Utterance, Out of the Coma. Lacuna Coil - Comalies/ Karmacode Jeff Mills - Waveforms 3 Uriah Heep - Abominog Squarepusher - Go Plastic Miles Davis - Nefertiti Caravan - In the land of Grey & Pink Acid Mothers Temple - Monster of the Universe (7" double pack) Have a nice week sounds slurpers x

keith a wrote: Disintegration – The Cure The LP where Cure returned to doing what they do best. Sounding miserable. Fabulous! Not a fan of Head on the Door then? They could be my two favs - always thought they could turn their hand to catchy as hell pop with the best of them though
