Moon Cat wrote: I'm not at my place with the BD album to hand but I'm pretty darn sure the Urge Overkill guys names feature on the writing credits so I think it's borrowed and credited rather than just 'lifted'. I remember being struck by their pretty distinctive names cropping up in the credits on the album.
I do like a bit of Urge meself. "Saturation" is a brilliant slice of pop-metal genius and their recentish comeback album, "Rock n Roll Submarine" is pretty cool too.
EDIT - Check this out. Theme from Speed Kills is indeed credited to Nash Kato from UO.

May well have been Doggen that was aware of the original riff?
EDIT Two. It actually seems that Julian has borrowed a riff from UO written and stitched by Nash Kato on to an Urge Overkill version of Hot Chocolate's "Emma", retitled "Emmaline" (also done by the Sisters of Mercy). Wow, the song that keeps on giving.
He nicked something from Deep Purple In Rock on something - was it LAMF or BD? *memory goes PFFFT*
