Just in time before next weeks thread starts...

A bit similar to Riverman's to begin...

WHITE HILLS - Frying / HP-1 / Oddity 3

LILACS & CHAMPAGNE - S/T

HOWLIN RAIN - The Russian Wilds - Simply the best retro-rockin' ( with some soul and blues, even soft FM rock thrown in ) record i've heard since Sweet Oblivion - can't stop playing it - amazing empathy between the musicians - hooks a-plenty - good lyrics - brilliant soloing - nominally conventional songs often go tangential / to unexpected places, it's just fabulous - i'm in serious danger of flogging it to death so will have to limit myself to just one play per day.

EL DOOM & THE BORN ELECTRIC - thank you Norman Records for a review and recommendation i simply couldn't resist - really good muscular stuff that doesn't tick any of my numerous prog averse boxes. Er, the fact that it's released by the excellent Rune Grammafon was the final clincher TBH.

PAPIR STUNDUM - Pewt'r Sessions 3 - More wigged out improv jams from Denmark - not as freaked as the Causa Sui one but every bit as inventive - recommended.

And a fair bit of Lee Hazlewood ( some with Nancy S )

All the best,

Mark x
