I am not the biggest Stranglers fan aside from the first album but have been really enjoying JJ Burnel's "Euroman Cometh" after seeing it in Hunter T Wolfe's Soundtracks list. This is having not listened to it since playing it three or four times when it came out before sticking it in the bag of purchasing misteps destined for Record and Tape Exchange. The vocals are rubbish but 30 years on we've been inured against rubbish singing so it is much less jarring in 2012. Musically it sounds incredibly contemporary. Reminds me of Air. Air after they've been on a steady diet of Devo, "Monster Movie", "Flow Motion", Boards of Canada, "Systems of Romance", early Faith No More and er ... Lena Lovitch.
