Yeah "Nosferatu" and "Euroman Cometh" are both essential listening if your a stranglers fan, love em both !

Good call. It's a unique and mighty fine album. In fact, I like it more than most of The Stranglers' output of that period, and think it had more than a little influence on JJ's parent band. Check out the development from 'Black and White' to 'The Raven' to see what I mean.

There 's so much to dig here: the frighteningly un-PC lyrics to 'Crabs' and 'Pretty Face' (with Lew Lewis blowing up a storm in the latter), a Cabaret Voltaire-like early rhythm unit worked to perfection, barmy time signatures with emphases on all the wrong beats, the motorcycle engine roar throughout 'Triumph'... I could go on. Great, great cover too. A must have, and not just for Stranglers fans.
