I can't believe my ears, but the album is a great hard rock record. Don't let the single "Tattoo" fool you.

I'm enjoying it very much too!!! Not quite as much fun as their original albums (age, I guess!) but at least as good as I expected, possibly better!! I like it more with each listen (3 so far) - which is an unusual thing for me to say.... Tattoo's grown on me as well. love Moth

I'm looking forward to this...but from a wary distance at the mo'. If they've done that thing that a lot of reformed/re-energised rock bands have been doing of tapping (ho ho ho) into the thing that made 'em great in the first place, I'm in!

It's a genuine revelation. Can't stop listening to it at the moment. Really inventive and quirky in places and some nice pop hooks among the riffage. Great sounding and Eddie's playing out of his pants. Feels like they've put their hearts into it.

I really don't want to be one of those that just posts in a thread to whinge, but I don't get it. What am I missing? I loved Van Halen as a nipper but after three plays of the new one I was pretty underwhelmed. It all sounds stock and tired to me, and mostly devoid of my friend Mr. Tune. I'll give it another spin tomorrow, I hope I can hear what you're all hearing.
