Bill Laswell / Raoul Björkenheim / Morgan Ågren - "Blixt" (2011)

Fvckin' awesome exercise of steaming fusion, demonic avant rock leanings and a something that can be labeled as 'post-heavy metal'. Not to be missed by any fan of Last Exit or Naked City, or even by fans of Tony Williams Lifetime, Mahavishnu Orchestra circa Inner Mounting Flame, etc.

Bjorkenheim's old band Krakatau are pretty good.
So this interests me.
Don't think I'm that hot on Bill Laswell though have some productions by him that distinctly cod. But he does seem to crop up in a lot of bands somewhat like this, Purple Trap & Last Exit to name 2. So i guess he's well respected in the scene.

not heard of Morgan Ågren before as far as I remember.

It is good, as is most of Laswell's vast output, but the whole album is rather similar. Good but not memorable.
